My favorite web site and discussion forum about running is the one from Courir Le Monde (run the world).
I highly recommend you get there if you can read french. You will read a lot of stories from very experienced runners... and some elite runners are just conversing with you and me in all simplicity. Brilliant community!
Through those reports, you get to know all the marathons in the world. What better way to get prepared!
